Our story so far

In 2022, HEALER emerged from the docks of Grimsby with an alt-rock sound that refuses to be ignored. The band quickly cut their teeth at grassroots venues with magnetic live performances, captivating local audiences and amassing a loyal following. Early on, they landed coveted support slots with Britpop icons Sleeper and rising Welsh rockers Trampolene – proof that even as newcomers, HEALER could hold their own next to seasoned acts.

By 2023, HEALER’s buzz had begun to spread beyond their hometown. Their self-released songs were getting regular airplay on BBC Music Introducing and Amazing Radio in both the UK and the US – a rare feat for an unsigned band. Influential tastemakers at This Feeling included HEALER in their "Best New Bands" playlist, and Grimsby-born comedian and TV personality Lloyd Griffith became one of the band’s outspoken champions, frequently shouting them out for their hard-hitting sound.

HEALER’s momentum hit a new gear in 2024. The band unveiled two powerful singles — “Wake Me Up” and “War” — which grabbed spots on Amazing Radio’s Hot New Indie playlist and were picked as This Feeling’s Track of the Day, respectively. The tracks resonated with fans and industry alike: BBC Introducing presenter Jericho Keys even hailed one as his “favourite tune so far” from HEALER and praised its relatable lyrics on air. That summer, HEALER stormed the festival circuit, playing alongside big-name acts like Razorlight, Frank Turner, Feeder, The View and The Lottery Winners. These high-profile gigs further cemented their status as one of the UK’s most exciting new live acts.

Now, roaring into 2025, HEALER isn’t slowing down one bit. With new music already written and ready to roll out, the band is poised to reach even bigger audiences in the year ahead. What started in a humble fishing town has grown into a rising force on the indie/alt-rock scene, and HEALER enters 2025 with the confidence and momentum of a band ready for the big leagues.
